Updates for WordPress 2.1 and 2.0 are now available for download. Fixes for several known minor XSS issues and one major XML-RPC issue along with some additional code tweaking are addressed in this update.

A new release of WordPress is available. Basically, WordPress 2.1.1 offers a little “Coder Janitorial” service, taking care of about 30 bugfixes and security issues. Hat’s off to the terrific team over at wordpress.org for continuing to develop what many, including us, think of as the best blogging solution available.

Although the 2.1.1 update is considered a low-to-medium priority update, the WordPress crew does recommend it for all WordPress users.
